More John Hardy

I saw these pieces on the Nieman Marcus website and I think that they are sooo beautiful. Nieman's was one of the first stores to pick up the John Hardy line, so they always have some pretty nice pieces online. These are from their Batu Lava Kawung collection and the contrast of yellow gold and silver with the shades of reds and oranges in the stones are just gorgeous. I don't think I'd wear these pieces together as a set, but individually they are pretty bold.

Double Time

Philip Stein is a relatively new watch company that I've been dying to try. Among Oprah's "Favorite Things" a few times, they supposedly are pretty amazing. They have developed Teslar technology, which works with the batteries in the watch to produce an electric current that resembles our own body's electromagnetic energy. This technology is meant to help us fight the negative electric energy that surrounds us every day that we don't even realize is there. Many users claim that their stress reduces and they sleep better as well. To achieve the full effect- they recommend wearing the watch 24-7, except when swimming or in the shower to prolong the life of the strap.
Even if you're not into the electro-technology mumbo jumbo, it's still a pretty cool looking watch. I dig the 2 dials, it would come in handy to keep track of the time of a loved one in a different part of the country or even in a different part of the world. Also, you can change the straps to match your outfit daily is you wish. They have an array of different materials and colors for their bands and they are super easy to change on your own.
Find a retailer near you and see if you can feel the difference. If not, at least you'll have a neat looking watch.

I love the watch both with and without diamonds. They can dress up or dress down so easily, especially with how easy it is to change the strap.

They also come in the round shape like the examples above. I think I personally like the top watches better, but if you're bit more traditional, you might like these. Check out their website to see all of the strap and size combinations. Enjoy!

New Vintage

If you are not lucky enough to inherit a piece of vintage jewelry from your grandmother and you've always wanted one, Tacori has some pieces you might like. They are known for having an updated version of some of our favorite heirlooms with extensive filigree and engraving that really give each piece a vintage-y feel.
Many of Tacori's pieces can be custom-designed to fit your exact specifications. For example, if you like the top of one ring and the band of another, often times they can make it work for your taste. Also, keep an open mind when viewing Tacori rings, because many of the rings look just as beautiful with a different shaped center diamond.
These are some of my favorite Tacori rings, but check their website to see the rest of their selection and to find a retailer near you.

I would LOVE to see this ring above with a colored diamond center. The surrounding diamonds would create such a nice contrast to a yellow, champagne, pinkish-brown, or pink diamond center (if pink is in your budget).

Don't forget the men!

Since most of my posts so far have been aimed at women's jewelry and watches, I will share with you some of my favorite Omega men's watches as well. I am really loving the red gold and brown leather strap combo and also some of Omega's sportier watches from their Planet Ocean collection.
Some of my favorite Seamaster Planet ocean watches (also with Co-Axial technology):

And here are some of my favorite Seamaster Railmaster watches. These are designed after the original Omega watches used by train conductors. The XXL Railmaster (on the top) needs to be hand wound, but the one one the bottom is Co-Axial:

Here are some of my other favorite men's watches from their DeVille collections. The one on the left is from their new line called Hour Vision. It not only has an exposed back with a sapphire crystal on it, but the sapphire crystal is also added to the sides of the case as well.
They are really beautiful and they all have Co-Axial technology.

Chocolate

Pronounced "shock-oh-lot" (very fancy) from Omega's DeVille collection, this watch is beautiful. With a red gold (translate: rose gold) case, a diamond bezel, and a brown strap, this watch has such a sophistication to it. It is armed with Omega's Co-Axial escapement which reduces friction and allows an automatic movement to last longer. However, I will have to see the strap in person because I am not convinced it is the perfect brown for me. It looks a little fabric-y in the picture, but I'll update if I am able to try one on and see for myself. I love the color scheme, I just hope the strap is the rich brown it should be to really complement the red gold. Also, enjoy some of Omega's other fun designs below.

Blue Box

Is there any color more recognizable for a woman than Tiffany's blue?? I don't think so. With high quality of the utmost importance, their brand has a well-deserved reputation. Here are a few of my favorite larger right-hand style rings that I saw on their site today. Check out their website to see the rest of their pieces.

Uma Fully Dressed

I love love love this watch. Tag Heuer is a Swiss-made watch company with a tendency to be more on the sporty-side of the luxury watch brands. With ambassadors such as Maria Sharapova, Tiger Woods, and Jeff Gordan, you can see why. But then there's the watch that Uma Thurman does the ads for. This watch is just stylish. From their Link series, it stands out because of its larger size (33mm vs. 2mm with the traditional Link models) and because it is a chronograph (those little sub-dials on the dial which basically is a stopwatch). And if you've never heard the term "fully dressed", it refers to a watch having diamonds on the dial and the bezel. Not only do Tag Heuer watches come with a 2 year international guarantee, but if the watch has diamonds, it comes with a certificate for them as well. If you have never tried on the Link series from Tag Heuer, you defintely should because the links on the bracelet fit so comfortably. Check out their site to see their other models and to find a retailer near you.

John Hardy Lavafire

I am really loving John Hardy’s new Lavafire collection. The combination of colors and different gemstones really give them a fun look that could work day or night. John Hardy has always been one of my favorite designers and I was even lucky enough to visit the John Hardy studio in Bali, Indonesia. It is an amazing company with inspired designs that are actually hand-made. The ring above in the blue color scheme reminds me so much of the ocean, maybe that’s why my sister Melinda, the surfer, just bought the pendant. Visit the John Hardy site to view more of the Lavafire collection and to find a retailer near you.
